Why shouldn't I just buy the Qualified Voter File from the state?A tempting trap to fall into is to confuse the products that PPC provides with the Qualified Voter File (QVF) which the state will provide to any citizen for a fee. The QVF is simply what the title suggests: a list of the people in the state who are qualified to vote. What the QVF does not tell you is who is likely to be a democrat or republican, how old they are, their likely income, issues they are likely to support, and so on. Not to mention, it's not a terribly accurate file to begin with. The QVF is known to be littered with old addresses from people who have moved and people who have recently died. When you work with PPC, you get accurate, up-to-date, targeted lists.
