Michigan Absentee Voter Tracking System

Our absentee voter (AV) ballot tracking/chase system is a newer service that has proved to be very popular and successful to campaigns that subscribe to it. The AV tracking program allows campaigns to monitor, on a daily basis, who has applied for an absentee ballot, who has been mailed an absentee ballot, and who has returned their absentee ballot simply by going on our website, logging in to your account, and downloading your new list. We receive daily updates from the Secretary of State, usually 10:00 AM each day, of absentee voter activity. You can easily see the date/time of the last update as well.

You will never have to waste time on contacting voters who have already voted ever again! You will not miss out on voters who apply for absentee ballots, and will have the ability to call them, and mail to them at the critical time when they are most engaged in deciding who to vote for. Instead of going to multiple clerks offices to buy this information and put it all together, it will be available to you in a user friendly format with no more effort than turning on your computer and signing on to your account on our website.

Here's how it works:
• We assign you a user name and password which you use to access your specific AV tracking program on our website
• You select from a number of options what voters you would like to populate information for in the download. The site offers you a few options like "only voters with DEM< x%" or "only people who newly applied yesterday".
• When you're ready, the site downloads to you all the records that meet your criteria, that fall inside the district we set up for you. You can run it as often as you like, so if you do something wrong, you can just go back and do it again. The format pretty closely matches the one used by local Clerks who provide the same info, except that we add phone numbers and some other info, and also allow you to select based on political party.

We expect that 95% of all ballots will be administered through the system set up by the SOS and provided to the clerks. About 5% of ballots coming in from small rural townships will not be accounted for. Unfortunately we don't know which ones those will be. We do, however, provide a listing of all voters that are 80% or more likely to vote absentee in the file so you can assume that those voters will be voting absentee even in the townships that do not use the system.
